“Ride from Within”—A James Shaw Clinic

The event will be held at Camelot’s ranch at
6250 E. Jomax Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85266.

James Shaw, internationally-renowned clinician and author of Ride from Within, presents a special clinic to benefit Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship. Through the art of Tai Chi, James will help you discover a level of inner balance and awareness seldom achieved by riding alone. This clinic can benefit riders of all levels of experience. Spaces are limited, so register soon!

Clinic Details

The full clinic includes a morning groundwork session (without your horse) and a semi-private mounted lesson with James in the afternoon. The cost of the full clinic is $85 per horse/rider pair. You may also participate in the morning groundwork session and audit the afternoon lessons for $40 per person. Lunch will be available at noon for $15 per person.

If you will be bringing your horse for an afternoon lesson, you may leave it tied to your trailer during the morning session, or we can schedule your lesson to allow enough time for you to return home and pick up your horse. Camelot’s uncovered round pen will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Safety Rules

To ensure the safety of all participants, the following rules will apply:

• All riders must wear an approved safety helmet while mounted.
• All riders must complete and sign the waivers of liability (223KB PDF) before starting the clinic. If possible, please mail your waiver in so that it will arrive before the day of the clinic (the mailing address is on the form).
• Due to limited space, trailer parking will be in assigned spots only. When you arrive at the clinic, someone will show you where to park.
