Frisco

Frisco arrived at Camelot in October of 2014, and quickly learned to love his new job. He is a Trakehner/Selle Français cross gelding, so he is not registered, but his sweet nature makes him a favorite of students and volunteers. His name is actually Frisco II, because he was named after his previous owner’s favorite dog.

Before coming to Camelot, Frisco competed successfully at 2’6″ and 2’9″ in Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) shows in Arizona and California. He also won equitation classes. As a reward for his hard work, he spent the summers in the cool air of Payson, enjoying the trails.

Everyone loves Frisco’s coloring, his flaxen mane, and his sweet face. He is good at carrying our adult students, and can’t believe this is his new life. He loves it! He is very easy to steer and has lots of “swing” through his back and shoulders, providing lots of movement for our student’s hips. He is VERY easy to bridle, which the students love.
